Announcing our first performance judge for the Saturday Cosplay Masquerade: Xavio.
Xavio is a multidisciplinary performer who uses cosplay as an outlet for characterisation research for his acting. Cosplay is so relevant to his career, and in his 8 years of performing arts training, cosplaying in the last 3 1/2 years has become one of his favourite ways to get into character!
We asked Xavio: If you could give one piece of advice to the entrants you’re about to judge, what would it be?
“It’s okay to be nervous; we have all been there. As judges, we are here to make you feel that your work has earned you the place to compete. Have fun showing off your work – especially your performance! It deserves to be celebrated!”
