Announcing our second performance judge for the Saturday Cosplay Masquerade: Joshua Adeyemi.
Joshua has been cosplaying since May 2023. Since then, he’s loved performing in front of audiences at conventions in cosplay, winning multiple Best Performance, Best Bard, and Judges’ Choice awards at conventions across the country. When not on a con stage, you can find Joshua performing out of cosplay with the London African Gospel Choir.
His favourite part of the hobby is the interactions he has when cosplaying someone’s favourite character. It’s in moments like these that he can truly embody the persona of the character, and leave people with an experience that makes them smile.
We asked Joshua: If you could give one piece of advice to the entrants you’re about to judge, what would it be?
“If you’re going to perform, do it big! Own the stage, commit to the character, and don’t be afraid to push your energy just a little further than you think. You’ll be sure to leave a lasting impression this way.”
