We’re so excited to be running the Cosplay Masquerades at MegaCon Live Manchester in just a few weeks! Now all of the entrants have submitted their applications, it’s time to announce the judges for the weekend. We’ll be introducing one judge a day and you can meet all of them right here.
Announcing our fourth and final judge for the Saturday Cosplay Masquerade: HettiStitch.
HettiStitch is a Shropshire-based cosplayer who has been involved in the hobby since 2015. She particularly enjoys competing, securing her 4th and 5th Best in Show titles in 2024. Her favourite part of cosplay is the moment you get to put on that final piece: “The whole outfit comes together right in front of your eyes, and your favourite character is looking back at you in the mirror!” A two-time former Artificer winner, Hetti is thrilled to be back at MegaCon Live Manchester on the other side of the judging table, and can’t wait to see what the competition will hold.
We asked Hetti: If you could give one piece of advice to the entrants you’re about to judge, what would it be?
“Make your cosplay as clean as possible, whether that’s making sure that you finish you the foam seams, or pressing your fabric garment really well. Clean, neat, and well-finished cosplays show a high attention to detail and often score higher!”
