Interested in joining the Guild? We have teams in the UK and Ireland and accept new members on an application basis.
Members are able to volunteer both in person at events and online with various Guild functions. A lot of our work is done via committees, such as our Social Media Committee, who help manage the Guild’s social channels. We expect members to volunteer at a minimum of one event a year, and ideally get involved with a committee if their schedule allows it.
At events such as MegaCon, our volunteers help to run the repair table, Cosplay Showcase and Masquerade, as well as participate on panels and display some of their cosplays and props. Community outreach is another thing our members often assist with, whether that is through helping cosplayers with repairs or checking in for the Masquerade, or talking with convention goers about props and costumes on display.
But it’s not all work and no play! We also offer our paid resources to members for free, such as our upcoming Patreon perks and other services. Members will also have access to some Members Only training courses and workshops, including a Masquerade Judge training course currently in the work for aspiring competition judges.
We are specifically looking for new members who currently make their costumes, or have an interest in developing their crafting skills. Cosplayers of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We look through applications on a quarterly or as-needed basis, and new members are reached out to via email.
